In 2019, a team from NUALS won second place at the NLS Trilegal International Arbitration Moot, 2019. In 2019, NUALS was a semi-finalist at the World Rounds of the 23rd Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court.  In 2020, NUALS won the World Rounds of the 24th Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition.   In addition, the NUALS team won awards for the best monument as well as an individual speaker award for the 2nd best speaker.  National Institute For Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi is a co-educational institution located in Kochi, Kerala. The institute was founded in year N/A. Upon its establishment in 2014, the NUALS International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot (NIMLAC) was the first maritime dispute in India.  The annual meeting of NUALS Art And Literary is the annual cultural festival of NUALS. The festival, which usually takes place over three days, offers a plethora of artistic, literary, legal and sporting events.
The main events are Alankara, the fashion show competition on the first night, the Choreo Night, the group dance competition on the second day and the headlining show performed by musical artists. Artists and bands such as Masala Coffee, Thirumali, Hanumankind, and Rakz Radiant performed during Naalam. In 2019, NUALS won second place in the 2019 NHRC-GNLU National Moot Court Competition.  In 2019, NUALS won the 1st JGLS Antitrust Moot Court Competition organized by Jindal Global Law School and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.  In 2020, NUALS won the 8th RMLNLU-SCC Online International Media Law Moot Court Competition, 2020.  The Campus Committee Recruitment Cell is the officially recognized body responsible for facilitating and streamlining the recruitment process. It is an organization formed and administered by the members of the final group. The NUALS recruitment program is organized to help create a platform for legal fraternity organizations to interact with our students for internship purposes. Recruiters are required to inform the recruitment committee of their visit to campus. In cases where a face-to-face interview is not possible, a telephone interview or videoconference will be provided. The Campus Recruitment Committee (CCR) would also provide LCD projectors/overhead projectors in case a recruiter wishes to give a pre-placement conference.

Nambyar Endowment for the academic year 2021-22- reg. Admission to NUALS is very competitive. Students are admitted on the basis of rank after passing the prestigious common law admission test. In total, more than 50,000 take the admission test at just 80 places, making the exam one of the toughest in India. The NUALS campus is located in Kochi – the industrial capital of Kerala and seat of the Kerala High Court – in a 10-hectare Kinfra Hi-Tech park in Kalamassery. The NUALS campus offers adequate academic infrastructure – dedicated internet access, Wi-Fi connectivity, online legal resources such as Hein online, Westlaw India and Manupatra, a computer lab, as well as a good collection of standard books and reports, both foreign and Indian. The NUALS Library has over 13,000 books, making it one of the largest law libraries in Kerala, including extensive collections donated by prominent figures such as Justice VR Krishna Iyer, who donated his entire private library.  The library also contains many online resources such as WestLaw, Kluwer, HeinOnline, SCC Online and Manupatra.  NUALS permanent faculty includes Prof. (Dr.) Mini S, Dr.

Arya.  In February 2020, seven sitting judges of the Kerala High Court were appointed as Associate Professors at NUALS.  NUALS announced a temporary shift to online courses effective July 1, 2020 as part of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The university announced that preparations had been made for the postponement, including more than 150 pre-recorded online lectures, including by judges, lawyers, and other guest speakers.  The university also responded by modernizing its internal email servers to improve communication and information flow.  In addition, the Vice-Chancellor announced that LLB programmes, open defences for doctoral students and LLM examinations would be conducted online.  The day-to-day management and administration of the university is the responsibility of the President. Prof. (Dr.) K.C. Sunny is the current rector of the university.  The university campus covers a 10-hectare site in Kalamaserry.  The campus has an administrative block, an academic block, two student dormitories, faculty quarters, seminar hall, auditorium, open-air theatre, library, basketball court, cricket net, football pitch, volleyball court, two badminton courts, two gymnasiums, and a variety of indoor games.
